Working Principle & Key Features

Rigid Frame Stranding Cage: Multiple reels are mounted on a robust, non-back-twisting frame. The entire cage rotates to twist copper wires onto the cable core, forming a dense, round armor layer.

 

Copper Wire Armoring: The machine uses copper wires (typically 1.5–5 mm Ø) as the armor. It's suitable for both round and sector-shaped conductors and can be combined with other rigid stranding sections (e.g., 6+12+18+24) for complex cable cores.

 

High Speed & Productivity: Modern models feature high cage speeds (up to 230 rpm) and line speeds (55–70 m/min), ensuring high output for medium and large-section cables.

 

Precise Tension Control: Each reel has an independent tension system (magnetic brakes, hysteresis, or dancer arms) managed by a PLC. This ensures uniform lay length and prevents conductor ovality or surface defects.

 

Integrated Line Components: A complete line includes a central pay-off, the rigid armoring cage, a closing die, a dual capstan, a meter counter, and a shaftless take-up with traversing

4.2.17 The working principle of the whole machine brake: coordinated by the programmable controller PLC: the variable frequency motor controller, brake resistor, air brake, etc. jointly complete the slow stop, fast stop, emergency stop and other operations of the whole machine.
